Una Siciliana in Giappone
A journey between Sicily and the Land of the Rising Sun: an illustrated diary of twenty days across Tokyo, Kyoto and Okunoshima.
Not the usual travel guide. It is the honest, funny account of someone who actually went: text and photographs woven into drawn scenes, with the comics stepping in where a photograph falls short.
I wrote it, illustrated it, laid it out and got it into bookshops on my own. For a publisher that means an author who knows the whole chain from the inside — from print files to distribution.

La mia vita a Catania
A comic web series about the small absurdities of everyday life, one episode at a time.
Short, plain, autobiographical stories set in my own city. The same direct voice as the book, built into a serial shape: self-contained episodes with a recurring cast.
It is also a drawing experiment: for this series I built a completely new style, with rougher, less tidy linework, coloured in digital pastel.

About me
I started drawing when I stopped putting it off
I am an illustrator and comic artist: I live and work in Catania, Sicily. I was born here in 1987, and my path started a long way from drawing — a technical diploma in electronics, and a wish to draw set aside for years. I found the courage to listen to it by painting my first oils, before finding my real voice in comics.
Today I work mostly digitally and adapt to any software, without giving up working by hand: part of what I make is still small pieces in traditional media.
My line chases one precise idea: getting the imperfection exactly right. In a present saturated with images generated by artificial intelligence, my own search runs the other way.
